The Sierra Vista Metropolitan Planning Organization (SVMPO) is seeking review comments on an update to its Public Participation Plan.

The Public Participation Plan explains how the SVMPO involves its member jurisdictions and the public in regional planning activities. These activities include deciding how regional funds might be spent, analyzing what type of transportation projects are being considered for construction, and developing long-range plans for meeting future transportation needs.

The SVMPO Board of Directors will consider adopting the updated Public Participation Plan at its meeting on Thursday, January 17, 2019. The SVMPO Public Participation Plan was first adopted on Oct. 22, 2014.

The preliminary plan is available for review on the SVMPO website at www.svmpo.org. It is also available in printed form at the SVMPO offices located inside the Sierra Vista’s Public Works Bld. /Pedro Castro Maintenance Center, Sierra Vista City Hall, the Sierra Vista Public Library, theTown of Huachuca City Hall, the Huachuca City Library and the Cochise County Community Development Offices.

Review comments, suggestions or questions may be submitted on-line at www.svmpo.org, by e-mail to SVMPO@SierraVistaAZ.gov, or by leaving a phone message at 520-515-8525. Thereview comments will be shared with the SVMPO Board of Directors before it votes on the plan’s adoption.
