The SVMPO has one full time Director: Karen L. Lamberton, AICP. She came to the SVMPO in September of 2018 with an educational background that included undergraduate degrees in paralegal studies, environmental education and political science. She received her Master’s degree in Planning from the University of Arizona in May of 1999. Ms. Lamberton has over 28 years of experience in the field of transportation planning working for the Pima Association of Governments and, most recently, as Cochise County’s Transportation Planner.

The SVMPO also currently has two part-time Civil Engineers and one Intern:

Dennis Donovan, P.E., has been with the SVMPO for two years and brings a background of private sector hydrology and engineering expertise to managing regional projects providing drainage and roadway improvements.

Benny Young, P.E., has recently joined the SVMPO to be the Project Manager for the Joint City/County Theater Drive Study bringing his expertise developed over a career that began at the City of Sierra Vista, with varied positions held with the City of Tucson, followed by several years as the Cochise County Engineer.

Caterina Porter is in her third year studying engineering and project management with BYU-I and is proving the MPO with assistance in transit planning, Work Program activity project management and development of this agencies Standard Operating Procedures.
