On August 20, 2019, the Federal Highway Administration approved Amendment One to the adopted SVMPO FY20 and FY21 Work Program. This amendment revised funding totals to include last fiscal year’s carry forward funding amounts. Approved work activities are identified for the next two years.

Transportation Improvement Program Adopted
The SVMPO Board adopted the 2020-2024 Transportation Improvement Program, known as the TIP, at their June 27, 2019 Board meeting. The TIP sets out the construction projects planned for the next five years in the SVMPO region.

Work Program and Budget Adopted
The SVMPO Board has adopted a Work Program and Budget for the next two fiscal years. A series of Open Houses will be held in late May and early June for public comment on SVMPO programs and plans. Click here to review the SVMPO Work Program.
FY20/FY21 Work Program and Budget
A preliminary draft work program and budget has been drafted for the Board of Directors’s consideration on May 9, 2019. A final version, with the Board’s input, will be released for public comment. SVMPO Work Session Scheduled
The SVMPO Board has scheduled a Work Session on April 25th at 3:00 p.m. SVMPO Work Sessions are informal meetings where Board members have an opportunity to discuss in depth topics of regional concern among themselves. This Work Session will discuss the relationship of the SVMPO with its member jurisdictions and its agreement with the City of Sierra Vista. Staff and agency presentations may be made to provide information to the Board to consider. These meetings are open to the public but time is not reserved for public comment. Members of the public may attend in person, or by phone, and may share written comments on this SVMPO website.

Welcoming a SVMPO Intern!
The SVMPO welcomes Ms. Catarina Porter, a Civil Engineering student from BYU, Idaho, for a 7 month internship. Ms. Porter is in her Sophomore year at BYU and is interested in the policy and planning aspects of developing transportation projects. She will be assisting the SVMPO in updating our regional employment database, a transit stop inventory and supporting active projects that are being initiated this Spring.
SVMPO Approves 2019 Public Participation Plan
The SVMPO Board approved the 2019 update of their Public Participation Plan on January 17, 2019. This Public Participation Plan had been released for public review and comment in early December. Comments from member jurisdiction PIOs were included in a section about the role of the jurisdictions in future public outreach efforts of the MPO. Public review comments were incorporated into the plan narrative and outreach strategies and were also summarized in Appendix B of the final Plan.
